The mission of the Center is to carry out interdisciplinary projects and allow the rich human and laboratory resources of different centers, as well as those of the University academic departments, to be utilized to achieve optimum solutions.

Petrophysics, Petroleum Geology and Geophysics
This section is mainly concerned with the maximum utilization of available knowledge in detection and delineation of oil- and gas-bearing geologic strata.
Oil and Gas Exploration, Seismic and Sequence Stratigraphy, Basin Modeling
Well log analysis and correlation, Core analysis and description; Remote Sensing Petroleum exploration, Geological mapping, Environmental impact assessment
